| Name is listed Heathcoat on 1880 Census.266 His family moved from to Lawrence County, Arkansas, about 1855, and by 1880 to Boone County, Arkansas. Moved to Park Hill, Oklahoma, about 1895, along with brother William Carroll. Lived around NE Oklahoma until his death in 1935.33 CHARLES N. HATHCOAT son of JAMES POLK, or JOHN HATHCOAT son of WILLIAM C. HATHCOAT came to Indian Territory, (Oklahoma), before 1900, (I was told both ways,) which ever went back to Arkansas and told ever one how good it was out here. JAMES POLK traded his farm for a wagon and team and $40. The man never sent the $40 and JAMES never went back for it. WILLIAM, JAMES and two or three other familys came together to get rich in I.T. (Indian Territory), (did not get rich). JAMES died 1935 the same day that WILL ROGERS was killed. (W. Gene Hathcoat)101 | ||||||||||||||||||
